The MD2 also has a cute LCD display showing how many remaining frames there
are. The battery packs are interchangeable. There are really three, the
M.18V Control Pack (12 AA batteries), the M.15V Control Pack 1 and the M.15V
Control pack 2. Can't tell you the difference between the last two except
that the knob to screw it to the motor is silver on the 1 and black on the 2
(ok more differences, I'm sure).
The MD2 is physically larger and heavier.
Lastly, the MD1 will attach to the 250 Film Back and the MD2 won't.
