Sounds like, possibly, the focus screen has come unlatched and jammed inside
the mirror box . Mirror can't go up, shutter can't fire, can't be wound,
lens won't come off.

Subject: [OM] Dead OM-4 ?
| Dear Zs,
|
| Tonight I went out to shoot with my OM-4. Put on the 135mm f3.5 and took
| one shot, wound on and fired off another and the camera locked up. Got
the
| spare set of 357s from the bag and replaced the ones in the camera, no
good
| still locked. Tried the usual trick of setting the shutter to red 60,
still
| locked up. When I got home I attempted to remove the lens, it turns 5-10
| degrees then won't move any further ! The camera continues to wind,
| actually the shutter blinds move across when I wind then flip back just
| before I complete the wind stroke. The mirror isn't right down but does
| appear to move somewhat as I can see an out of focus light move through
the
| viewfinder when I wind. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this
| problem ? How can I get the 135mm off the body. Is this a fatal problem
or
| merely a hiccup ?
