I just got a package from BC. Seller marked it as a gift on the form and no
one charged me any duty. This was an inexpensive item (declared as $40)
though, so YMMV.

I have a prospective US bidder on one of my e-Bay items who has 
asked if there's duty on camera equipment bought from Canada?  Can 
anybody tell me if there is and, if so, what the duty rate is?
