While I agree with your discourse on the humble 50/1.8... it *IS* a fine
little lens... its value *IS* rather minimal. Unfortunately, you see them
all the time... pawn shops, camera stores, etc. Hell, even the camera
counter at a local London Drugs has a couple of them gathering dust.
So, regrettably, they're not "worth" much. Too bad I can't buy 6 of
them, string them together, and make myself a fine 300/10.8 cuz that's
the *only* way I could afford a prime super-tele! :-)))

P.S. This discussion and the glut of bodyless 50/1.8 lenses has made
me begin to wonder... do they copulate and reproduce like bunnies or
