I'd be careful putting spirits of any potable kind in them. Are you sure
the plastic is stable enough to withstand even mild levels of alcohol???

Well I use them for storing small quantities of salt, pepper, cooking
oil, washing up liquid etc for going camping. I find the translucent
ones especially useful for this. They are just the right size for a
shot of one's favourite spirit (Southern Comfort in my case).
I also use one for storing spare batteries, MD covers and and a tool for
removing and refitting them.
