I then let the lab toss 'em in their recycling bin. Funny you should ask though. Some racing photographers are apparently real slobs and you will see empty film containers all over the place on the ground in popular shooting areas. This becomes a bone of contention with track maintenance staff who in turn complain to the track's media staff. We are always reminded to "pack our trash" at the photographer's meetings but for some it goes in one ear and out the other. It is a serious problem as it is not uncommon for some of these guys to shoot upwards of 50 rolls in a race weekend (gasp). Could you imagine if nature photographers were this sloppy? Recycle 'em into milk bottles and mountain bike handlebar grips (I put Pedro's recycled grips on my ancient Ritchey and love 'em).
