Beattie claims in their ads that the Intenscreens are 1 1/2 stops brighter
than the average screen (is a plain OM 1 series screen considered average?).
Re-calibrations have shown the Beatties to be 2/3 rds of a stop brighter
than a plain OM screen. Olympus 2 Series screen is as bright as a Beattie.

| John H. fitted a Beatty screen to my OM1n during its service, the one with
| the grid and the diagonal split screen. It's great, not least in
eliminating
| those sloping horizons I always used to get ;-)
|
| And it's very bright. In fact, I will probably spring for another for my
| OM2n when it eventually requires a CLA. If there was an equivalent
2-series,
| maybe that would do, but I did explore the options before going for the
| Beatty. This particular screen suits me perfectly.
