DaveThe area covered by the meter is different with a different angle of view. Surely this would explain this change? Chris Interesting observation Tom. I put both my 35-70mm f/4 and 75-150 f/4 on my OM 1 and zoomed from shortest to longert foocl length on each. The needle does move about 1/2 stop. That you were using a zoom with a greater zoom range makes sense; the range of change varies proportionate to the amount of change in the focal length from shortest to longest. Or something like that.
