It's possible that the following URL has been posted to the List
previously. If so, I apologize for wasting the bandwidth. Anyhow,
I found this site this morning, whilst spelunking the Web for
something else totally un-related:
http://www.cheapbatteries.com/
Once you get past their poorly laid-out, REALLY annoying page
design, they appear to have some excellent deals. The sub-pages
dealing specifically with the kinds of batteries which photo
enthusiasts would tend to care about the most is:
http://www.cheapbatteries.com/photo.htm
Note to people outside of USA (like me): whether these deals are of
value to you would vary widely depending on which country you're
trying to import the batteries into, exchange rate, blah blah blah.
But for U.S. List members the prices appear to be very impressive.
No idea of shipping costs, though -- didn't check.
Also no idea of quality etc. YMMV. Caveat emptor. And whatever
other quibbles I can think of...

They seem to want $5.00 handling plus UPS ground rates. On top of a
$10.00 order the price seems less attractive. I wonder why businesses
insist on UPS for small items when USPS is so much cheaper. UPS just
leaves it in plain sight on the front porch, so I don't see the point.
Still, that kicks the delivered price of a 357 battery up to about
$2.00. I guess that is not too bad.
