I have found that the colored paint at the bottom of the engraving of Zuiko
lenses is very soft, and would probably be very easily scraped out with a
toothpick, without hurting the underlying black paint.
I've also found that it can be very tedious to put paint back into those
numbers in a neat and crisp fashion....
