My advise, as one who formerly earned my living with a camera (much of it
doing weddings), is to keep it simple. A sure formula for failure or
disaster at this wedding is to carry every piece of equipment you own plus
some new stuff you just bought for the occasion. I would probably carry the
35-70mm lens as my primary. If the setting requires a wider lens, I would
carry one however the 35mm should probably be wide enough for most
situations. One thing I learned was to have a back up for the important
parts of your equipment. i.e. camera, lens, flash, sync cord if you are using
one, etc. You might consider using color and b&w film with the same ASA
rating, so you won't have to remember to change those as you change film.
The most important thing I would tell you is to relax and enjoy the
experience. There will be enough tension without the photographer worrying
about which lens to use, where to position three different strobes, etc. Keep
it simple and you will do a great job!
