Yesterday I came across a photographer's site where he said that the best
b&w print quality he'd achieved was by developing Delta 100 in Dixactol and
he linked to http://website.lineone.net/~barry-thornton/dixactol.htm
It takes the form of a developer followed by a 'tanning agent' to produce
optimum in gradation and, he claims, exceptional sharpness. Another
interesting aspect is that in a multi spiral tank it matters not what b&w
films are mixed since all development times are much the same. If I was
still doing my own d&p I'd be very tempted to try it. Has anyone else?

Keith Berry
