OT - "Tree-hugging greenie" (was) Re: [OM] OMs and "Point and Shooters"

Nicely put Andrew (no we haven't met yet, my name's Chris and I am a 
Brit living in The Netherlands working at a NATO HQ).
I have just done 4 months duty (TDY) at Incirlik AB in Turkey and the 
guns/NRA/licences discussion was almost never-ending.  But it was 
risky (socially) to offer an opinion in case you were talking the man 
who had 2 cases of various sorts of handgun under his bed.
On topic: the scope for carrying an OM around in Turkey is huge with 
all the wonderful ancient ruins around.  The locals were also pretty 
keen to be photographed.
