An old friend of mine wired a bird feeder with 110 to keep squirrels off.
They didn't learn from it.
Really? I'm surprised they didn't learn to come inside and turn off
the switch. For rodents, they're pretty clever. It only takes them
about a week to figure out any new deterrent I throw at them.
| I have a B-B pistol that I use for scaring squirrels off my bird
| feeders. (Being a quiche-eater, I'm careful not to hurt them. I just
| want them to associate stinging pain with my feeders.)
One thing I have discovered, they hate the sound of that B-B pistol.
I can go outside and make shooting noises with my mouth and they all
scatter! The neighbors must think I'm bonkers!
