Amazing, Mark. My -4 has developed a similar problem. I had no
display, and the mirror locked up except on B and 60. I put in new
batteries, and it worked fine for a couple of days. Then the same thing
happened. No beep on Battery Check and no red light action. I haven't
tried these new batteries in another body. I keep the camera on B or 60
when it's not in use.
