Hallo,
Sure, when I sad that I agree with the photodo article, I meant to agree with
the result when compared in the explaned way. - guess we all agree in basic
terms.
Sure there are lot of possiblities to improve large-format results which are not
considered in the article.
For me, as a user of Zuiko Lenses, I find the article: "Are old lenses as good
as new ones?"

Funny, to be anxius about the quality of Zuiko Lenses, when they explined that
for photography
optic design reached a high enough level in the 60s, and the basic
technologies were
developed in the 30s/40s.
About the 70s lenses they say:
"It is arguable that this trend ceased in the late 1970s. Normal
lenses reached a level of quality that did not need to be
improved upon because they already exceeded the
capabilities of the available film - and this has remained the
case. In this case, no news is good news."
