Interesting metaphor, Jan. Can you unpack it a little? Does the "hammer"
image suggest a medium that is powerful but also more crude?
I just used "hammer" and "screwdriver" as general-purpose symbols.
Thinking in terms of precision, One might say LF should be carefully
tweaked like a screwdriver, whereas 35mm CAN BE just slammed onto any
scene without much thought or effort.
On the other hand, having carried a Linhoff Super Technika, four
lenses, loupe, light meter, drape, and heavy tripod a few miles on
Tuesday, perhaps it's LF that is the hammer, based on weight alone...
I think Tom has talked me into getting a motor drive (SUV) for my LF
gear. (There, I've done it -- every OM-list topic must eventually
involve SUVs... :-)
