I have been really happy with the quality and certainly the price of Epson
cartridges from www.ink4art.com
The black ink cartridges are less than $15 and the color are less than $20
(can't remember the exact prices)
and they often run sales where you can buy 6-packs for $50, or you get black
cartridges free with color purchase,
or free shipping, etc. Just watch their website for specials - these are
significantly less than the Epson
cartridges, and I've had no problems at all.

I know this is off topic, but I've had good luck refilling my own Lexmark
Inkjet cartridges with ink I purchased from this company:
http://www.oddparts.com/ink/Welcome.html
I've only tried the black ink, but they also sell color. I've refilled
the black probably 10 times, and I still have over half the bottle left.
The bottle cost just a little more than one replacement cartrige from
Wal-Mart. The ink seems as good as the original, and I've been using the
original cartridge this whole time, with good results.

Do any of these allow refilling of the ink cartridges or are you forced
to constantly buy, buy, buy. I assume pages per cartridge is better now
that it is with my Stylus Color 800.

John,
Can't speak for HP, but I've had a Canon BJ-something and an Epson
Stylus Photo 750, and I'm very happy with the Epson. Cost about $250US and
prints beautifully.

Hello Everyone,
I've been considering going to a "digital darkroom" for color work.
When I got a new computer recently, I got one with enough memory, just in
case. Now my printer has died, and I'd like to get a really good photo
quality replacement. I've read hype on Canon, Epson, and HP (can't remember
the model #'s). If anyone has a strong opinion on which printer does the
best job, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Since money is an issue, I guess
I'm looking for the best bang for the buck. Once I take this step, I'll
have a scanner and the software to go.
Regards,
John Pendley
