There is no comparison between these lenses...
I agree. The 40 is a wonderful "snapshooting" lens, the 35 shift is a
"technical" lens, and its needs get in the way of rapid shooting.
If you want a 35mm for just wandering around, get an f2.8
Yea, what Wayne said! In addition to being heavy and ungainly and
non-automatic, the shift mechanism tends to get bumped one way or
another, and you accidentally take "perspective un-controlled" shots.
