differences between the OM-4t and the OM-4 are the Titanium
top and bottom plates (obviously), support for the F280, and some
buzzer/display things.

You forgot to mention battery drain. Unless the 4 has had a 4T circuit board installed, battery life will be about 1/4 that of a 4T. This could be important in a "back up" camera!

If you decide on a 4, you may want to make it your main camera, and use your existing 4T for back-up. A back-up isn't worth much if, every time you need it, the batteries are dead.
