I don't think your choice of OMPC will be strange to anyone who is lucky
enough to have one. Someone just called it a "consumer" version of the
OM-2S. Yes, the single-digit OM's are considered the professional models,
although very few professionals still use OM's, so this nomenclature is
getting somewhat meaningless. The single-digit cameras are more rugged and
easier to get serviced (a bit). The manual cameras (OM-1(x), OM-3(x),
OM2000) work in cold weather and in situations where long exposures are the
rule(astrophotography?). I like them for winter shooting though I prefer
the OM-2S and OM-4T overall.
