I don't entirely agree with this. The 135 has a long
enough working distance that a camera flash would
probably be just fine. Get a T32, and you have even
more flexibility to use shorter focal length macro
lenses due to its 'tilt-down' capability.
I would certainly agree that having off-camera
capability greatly increases your macro flexibility,
however.
