Dirk,
Yes, there was a little button that covered the main (threaded) hole
to mount the flash shoe on my OM-2 when I purchased it new. I still
have it, where you would get another I wouldn't know. As you may
surmise, they are only about 1/8" in cross-section and about the same in
height. Rather easy to misplace, especially since they didn't stay put
that well anyway.
