:"Auto-S" just mean "standard"?
Standard it is in Auto-S; but they were talking about the S in the S Zuiko Zooms
(28-48/4, 35-70/4, 35-70/3.5-4.5, 35-70/3.5-4.8, 70-210/4.5-5.6 and 100-200/5).
Even the OM System Lens Handbook does not reveal the meaning of the S. It is
named only once, on the page that describes both the F3.6 and F4 version of the
35-70: "The F4 is one of the S series zooms, offering exceptional cost
performance". My vote is that the S stands for Special, indicating Special
Series Zoom lenses, targeted at the consumer (amateur) market.
