After all this time... still the "stigma" of "consumer lens" ?
I´m not so sure that "S" means consumer lens. I know lenses as 65-200 with
a performance in construction, and optical quality very near to 35-70 f 4
(S) and the zoom 65-200 is not a "S" lens. A "S" lens as the 28-48 well
used gives a big quality and the price of this zoom is not for "consumers".
I think that cheap (not bad) lenses are 50 1.8 ("made in Japan") or 135 f
3.5 or the zoom 75-150 and theese lenses have not the "S". Sorry, but I
understand a little bit pejorative "consumer lens"... . After a long
discussion on the List, is not clear that Olympus says "S = consumer" . And
is not really clear what means this "S".
Paul, I really believe that you´re in love with your 35-70/4.("S").
