John has a long history of being very generous with his knowledge and experience, however I think it a bit much to ask him to detail a procedure that he considers difficult and which might take him some time to explain. This is his livelihood you are asking him to give away. If you contact Olympus America you should be able purchase a repair manual detailing most of the knowledge you incorrectly infer is withheld.
