When the camera is set to bulb (B), the shutter will open when
you press the release, and will shut as soon as you lift your
finger off of the button. If yours isn't doing that, then you need
to get it checked out. It shouldn't stay open on bulb (B) after
you let it go. Do you have the self timer turned on? Are you
using a winder?
