Ken,
If the roadys get you down, you can always come up here to Minnesota to
ride.  I have found plenty of places up here to ride my Schwinn Homegrown.
Plus, with Lake Superior, it's "almost" like having an ocean.  Plenty of
great photo ops too (OM content).
