Certainly the price is too high for a used lens, but don't blame Nikon for
this guy trying to carry a high speed zoom backpacking. Check out the weight
and size comparison below between Olympus and Nikon and you'll see this is
impractical for Oly also. Actually, the Olympus is heavier and longer than
the Nikon. I know the Oly is a telephoto zoom, but I couldn't find the specs
for Oly's new wide angle zoom. :-)
Nikon 20-35 f/2.8D weight: 640 grams length: 94mm
Olympus 35-80 f/2.8 weight: 650 grams length: 99mm
