This is not necessarily the case. I have seen quite a few 35mm F2
lenses that have silver rims, and are most DEFINITELY multicoated,
i.e. they are marked MC, and have plenty of green reflections.
Recently, I sold one such lens to Mahlon H. There may be other
Zuikos with similar characteristics, e.g. the 21/f2 and 24/f2,
whose external mechanical construction is very similar to 35/f2.
One final comment -- about the silver rimmed 50/f1.8 Zuiko. It's
all-metal, whereas later versions have plenty of pl*stic. This may
be true of other Zuikos as well.
