George, Thanks for this explanation. Now I think I know the origin of that
seemingly backwards appellation "unsharp mask."  In darkroom, I noticed
that it reduced overall contrast, not that it improved sharpness.  The
Beseler was probably shaking anyway <g>.

Make sure to get Konica *QP*. B&H supposedly has it. I've gotten it from a
company called All Laser Service 1-800-360-1337. Konica makes a bunch of
kinds and only the QP is really photo quality (so I understand, not having
actually tried the other Konica papers). It has an RC base and is quite
thick and apparently waterproof.

20x24 is not far away. I'm astonished at the strides among these
consumer-level printers in just the last year. A great time to be alive.
