That's true. LEDs apparently last a very long time. Leica used LEDs in the
R8. I don't know the reason why LCDs don't. The LCDs on OMs are built into
the circuit boards, and replacement will probably require a board replacement.
Some years down the road this will probably dry up the board supply.
