I agree with Gary that the OM-4 is at it's best price ever, and you get most
of the features of the 4T for almost half the price. Another body to
consider is the OM2-SP. It's going for about half the cost of the OM-4 and
still offers spot metering, same as the OM-2000. It's not multi-spot like
the OM-4, but you can do the math in your head if you want to save money. If
you do a LOT of flash work where the flash stays turned on for hours, you
will get battery drain. Under normal circumstances, this is not a problem.
The OM-2SP also did NOT have the infamous "circuit" problem of the OM-4. Of
course if the main circuit board on the 2SP or the 4 fail, it's almost a
beyond economical repair situation. You can buy another used one for almost
the same price as repairs.
