One suggestion from Olympus (OM Magazin) to have spotmetering with the
OM-40/PC:
Switch to MANUAL mode, turn on ESP, center the viewfinder
split/microprism to the point you like to measure, adjust speed and
aperture.
Voilá, (nearly) spotmetering.
Background: The OM-40/PC uses the same type of silicium cell for ESP
metering, as the OM-4/2SP for spotmetering.
Don´t forget, the OM-40/PC has TTL flash metering , the OM2000 not.
