Both items in Exc. or less condition have significantly depreciated in value
over the last decade. These are rare cases of OM System items depreciating
(the 28 mm f/3.5 and 50 mm f/1.8 are two others). But, for a bargain, one
needs to avoid the Mint condition offerings, which command higher asking
prices than a decade ago (adjusted for inflation).
FWIW, a parallel situation in the Canon A series/FD lens line is the Canon
A-1. It is only slightly move expensive than a AE-1 or AE-1 Program. There
must be lots of nostalgic value to the hot sellers of old (OM-1/2 and AE-1/1
Program) to make them so close in value to their more feature laden
decendents. Also note that in both cases the last of the breed (OM-3Ti/4Ti
and F-1new/T-90 command much higher relative prices).
