I had the same kind of problem with my OM-2 just recently, so I did some
testing and what I found seems to confirm your assumption - respective to
what the X/FP switch does, my OM-2 behaves like what was described for the
OM-1 here (I can't try that out myself so far, as I own neither a 1 nor a 1n
- yet? :-) ), and my 2n behaves like the 1n.
