Hmmm... There's only about 500f the paint left on the bottom plate of mine,
so maybe I'll try some lacquer thinner on it as a test.
Are there any concerns about removing the bottom plate?
What about the top plate? It appears much more difficult, but I assume can be
done by an amateur if things are removed in the correct order?
