It is the original model of the 4T, at least here in the states. It is
the model I have, purchased new around 1989, for under $500, if memory
serves.
The top and bottom plates are the reason for the name - they are not
chrome, definitely not black (the 4T black option came several years
later, apparently in response to popular request so the story goes). The
plates are more of a brushed aluminum look, not quite warm enuf in color
to be called true champagne.
To Paul: buy it! The 4T has one of the best, if not the best, exposure
systems ever in a 35 mm.
