|The top and bottom plates are the reason for the name - they are not
|chrome, definitely not black (the 4T black option came several years
|later, apparently in response to popular request so the story goes). The
|plates are more of a brushed aluminum look, not quite warm enuf in color
|to be called true champagne.
If I recall correctly, the "champagne" color is supposedly
the natural hue of titanium.
