Hmm, Mr. NAGEL neglected to include the epilogue to the above. And so,
here it is the REST (best?) of the story...
Since his OM-4T was black, not champagne, while the mugger was white,
the camera was arrested, charged with murder in the 1-st degree, and
unceremoniously sentenced to death.
While on death row, awaiting execution by means of a lethal injection
of cadmium solvents, the OM-4T managed to escape to Canada, where it
promptly joined the cast of Cirque du Solleil under the stage name of
Magie Noir, and now regularly performs its amazing death tricks in
front of sellout crowds.
Mr. NAGEL tried unsuccessfully(!) to market the "smile of death" photo.
He was turned down by numerous yellow news publications the on grounds
that the photo was taken with a Zuiko lens, and hence it was criminally
sharp.
NAGEL finally got the message, printed the b&w negative on reverse color
paper, and immediately sold the mugshots to NYC and LA Police Academies,
which now use them in their "crowd of one" control training classes.
Cheers,
