Hi Warren. This lens (if it is the Zuiko 35-70/4.0 AF zoom with built
in motors and battery compartment you are referring to) allows ALL OM
cameras to be autofocus. The OM-30 will focus when pushing the release
button halfway down, all other cameras must be focused by pushing a
button on the side of the lens. Power focus and manual focus are
possible as well.
