At the end of the film advance lever, where the lever joins the camera
body, there is a tab. I suspect that when the lever is pushed towards
the body, the tab moves below the shutter release button. This
prevents the botton from being pushed down.
It the above is true, the shutter lock can be disabled by removing the
tab.
