Tomoko, even if your assumption is right I would think most people
associates the name with the year 2000. As a result the name will probably
sound very much "obsolete" in a few years time (as well as everything else
that is called "2000"). Therefore I think the name is not the very best
choosen (why not OM-50?), and it´s surely not the first Olympus SLR capable
of a shutter speed of1/2000, The whole IS line is capable of that.
