Przemyśl is a town of about 60,000 people, located in the extreme south-east of
Poland, just 10 km from the Ukraine border. During the 123 years when Poland
did not exist as a country, it was part of the Austria-Hungarian empire, and
the ties to the countries to the south and east—Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary—are
still quite strong. I spent a day there during our recent trip to Rzeszów, the
main city in that part of Poland, about 90 km away.
Despite its modest size, Przemyśl has many impressive buildings, not least the
many churches that reflect the area’s mix of Catholic and Orthodox faiths. It
is a really pleasant town, and the war on the other side of the border seems
very far away (it has to be said that there has not been much war in the parts
of Ukraine bordering Poland).
I have uploaded a small gallery of 41 images from my walk in Przemyśl here:

And as always, comments and critique are welcome and appreciated.
