John,
I just want to say that I appreciate all you've done for the Olympus
user community. You've repaired a couple of my cameras and have always
been such a pleasure to work with and your quality has been second to
none.
As you are stepping back, I am saddened to see that we really haven't
had a younger generation step forward to take the reins in a public
way. They exist, it's just that the craftspeople doing it haven't been
imbedded in our community on such a first-name basis.
I still have no idea what I want to do when I grow up, and have
somehow found myself working an average of 70 hours a week, the
thought of slowing down is something that I'm well aware that it will
be imposed on me when my check engine light has burned out. So until
then, I'm going to keep pushing forward, but at some point I'll do so
because I have to, not because I want to.
I'm just so glad to have found this community almost 30 years ago and
made friends with people like you.
Thirty years ago!!!!
