Joel posted a photo of what I'm taking as a leaf-cutter bee, family
Megachilidae. These bees pack their pollen on the underside of their
abdomen, in sharp contrast to more familiar bees, who pack pollen as
"baskets" on their hind legs. One can see the edge of this mass of
collected pollen as a yellow stripe on the right margin of the bee's
