I have not been very active here. The last few months I was consumed with a
project to replace an outdoor grill station. The previous one had tile falling
off, made with cinder block where the gas valve was barely reachable. They had
chipped out the cinder block just to get to it. Some pack rats found that great
as they could get in and travel through out the cinder blocks. Only solution
was to demolish it and rebuild.
Of course finding a contractor that would do a good job is impossible here in
the Pheonix area. They just want to do it fast and minimal. The only solution
was DIY. Bought a lot of tools and went the extra mile to get industrial gauge
steel, blah blah...
All except the granite was DIY

I learned a lot, made mistakes that had to be corrected. But got what I wanted
that would have cost a fortune for someone else to do.
I now can have another career as I have received many requests.
