Sleeping Lady and Barge. Cook Inlet from Point Woronzof, Anchorage,
Alaska. Olympus E-3 with 50-200 SWD lens.
Those of you familiar with Anchorage knows that "Sleeping Lady" is
effectively a landmark. It's a mountain to the north-west of Anchorage
that has a rather unique shape.

I dropped my nephew off at the airport last night and drove around to
the back-side to get a few airplane shots before heading home, but
this scene unfolded in front of me. There were two barges outbound. I
missed the first one as I couldn't find parking, but ended up catching
the second one about 10 minutes later. I did have to park illegally,
and run to catch this shot, though.
After spending a week shooting over 5300 pictures with the modern
mirrorless cameras, I felt the need to use the E-3. I'm glad I did.
It's still a rock-solid shooter that is very good and still has a
bunch of that old E-system color/contrast goodness.
