Thanks, the exact FB comment I got was "that is a nasty ouch! ".
I thought the F5.6 was for subjects further away. But maybe it applies to
background as well? This lens is sharp wide open.
I have also been comparing to the Sonie 90mm macro. The 90 also renders well.
The 110mm is the main advantage of the Voigtlander over 90mm.
