Agree, and agree with Moose. As I said, without seeing the actual tubes, don't
follow my suggestion of sand paper. And I forgot about the contact issue Moose
mentioned, so avoid lubrication.
I have tubes for A7 that are snug but not tight (Vello brand). I would be
concerned if the tubes where so tight they are damaging to the lens/body. On
closer inspection of my Vello tubes, they do appear to be plated metal rather
than solid.
Breaking in springs would be hard for me given that I use the tubes so rarely.
Mine don't have any springs (flat metal type) that I can see.
